Joan Collins is the People Before Profit TD for Dublin South Central. She was first elected to Dublin City Council in 2004, and was re-elected in 2009. In 2011, she was elected to Dail Eireann. She has earned a well deserved reputation as a hard working, capable and experienced public representative.
Joan has a record second to none as a campaigner and organiser of ‘people power’ on behalf of working people.
Joan worked as a clerk in An Post and is a member of the Communications Workers Union. Brought up on from Dublin’s north side, Joan lives in Inchicore with her partner, Dermot, and Scutch, the Jack Russel they adopted after he followed Joan home one night two years ago.
